Scott Serfas is an incredible photographer that has a very clean, crisp style throughout all his photos. He has worked on many state of the art action sports projects, including The Art of Flight (review coming soon).

I loved this image as it first of all just popped out immediately at my eyes with an awesome black and white edit. Super crisp. I also loved the composition of this skate photo as it has such great elements that give it an industrial feel. Leaves you with a feeling of skating somewhere you shouldn’t, which I think goes hand in hand with skating’s philosophy. Nicely placed in the frame are elements, like the ladder on the left and the rope on the right, make for an overall visually pleasing photograph. Goes to show once again an athlete doesn’t have to be pulling off the hugest move to make a killer skate photo. Art speaks powerfully through anything if done correctly.
